Car Pulling

I just installed my new Mille Miglia 18" rims on my 2k2. while they look sweet, all of a sudden my car pulls to the right pretty badly as if the alignment were off. Did I do something wrong? I made sure all the rotation arrows on the tires were in the right direction, and the tires came mounted from tirerack.

This might sound really basic but :
Check the tire pressures!

alignments can be thrown off when you take the wheels off. i dont think its anything more.

Don't take it for grated. My brand new cars came with the tires inflated to 50 PSI. Either the factory or the dealer Fcked up!

This may be wrong, but I remember someone once saying that the maxima is only one wheel drive until the differential splits the torque between the drive wheels( I know the Planetary Differential on my R/C car worked that way). Maybe he was right, or maybe (as said once before) it's the tire pressures?

when you say its pulling do you mean if you're cruising on the highway and let go of the wheel the car starts to veer to one side? or do you mean the car is pulling to one side under hard acceleration?

if its the first thing i mentioned then i still stick with my alignment theory.

if its pulling under hard acceleration in the lower gears then that is torque steer and that is normal. though, it should have been happening even when you had your stock wheels.

I have the same problem and asked the same question several months back. All of the responses were the car pulls to the right after upgrading to a larger size rim/tire combo. As I also recall, this problem did not go away, even after alignment. Of these people, they have learned to live with it.

Yeah, I swear I heard someone say that; then they got something and it went away.
Or something along the lines of that.

also, certain tires can cause the car to pull to the side. i forget the criteria (whether it be width, or sidewall height, or what have you...) but there is something that makes the handling conform to the contours of the road. now that i think about it, i think it has to do with the tire width. the wider your tires are the more it will move the car according to the surface you are driving on. this will cause the car to pull to the side every now and then. but it shouldnt always be the same side all the time. keep that in mind.

(also, please someone tell me if i am mistaken with that information)
