Strange AC problem

I've notice lately that went I am coming out of a turn that my AC loses a little power . I can feel a sudden change in temp until I level out to normal cruising speed. Is this normal? Has anyone experience this problem before?

Note: I live in NYC so it's been really hot out here the past week or so.

Thanks for any help in advance

Nice

What does a race have to do with his loss of A/C while turning?

From: H-Town
It got to over 100 the other day here in H-town and so far no problems at all. In fact i have to turn it off at certain times as the AC is freezing my fingers off.

Btw, it's not the Auto-climate type AC

In certain conditions under heavy engine load like WOT the AC will temporarily shut off, but I'm not sure if turning would load the engine. Maybe the power steering????

oops, I read it wrong....thought he had a bit power loss when turning on the AC. If it is a climate control, I would suggest to use the lowest setting of fan when you just start the car. If you are in a very hot place, having ur climate control to lower to temperature to 65 F is impossible.

AC uses a lot of resources and I think it is normal that u have AC running low when you try to regain the speed. you have to let go one of them.

I had a similar problem with a Honda Prelude. When the car was traveling a decent incline the A/C would suddenly blow warm air. Once I reached the top of the hill it would be fine. Ahhh, it was time to get rid of that car anyway . . . .

I have noticed in some vehicles (especially those with big volume, such as a van, station wagon, etc. that when you make a fast turn, often you can feel the temp get warmer for a moment. (or COLDER, in the case of heating vs. AC)

My conclusion is that even though the car has turned quickly, the air in the car doesn't turn with you.. and some of the warmer air from the rear moves up front.

Think about this the next time it happens and see if you agree!

I know when I had the problem with my Honda, it was definitely that the A/C >>blew<< warm air, you can even tell by the change in the smell of the air . . . it's like you switched from a/c to the fan. It would seem to me that this scenerio (air from the back) would be unlikely.

Thanks guys/girl(s) (undercvr is a girl right?)

Don't Flame if I don't get this right.

I was talking to a friend of mine that races cars and he explain that when a car is coming out of a turn, more power needs to be transferred to the wheels to pull (FWD) or push (RWD) the car out(I believe this is were the Differential comes into play). By this happening anything that you might have running may lose a little power; meaning lights may dim, AC fans may slow down , radio volume may decrease. So he told I should not worry too much about it.

That makes sense to me, I always had the feeling w/the Prelude that in order to make it up the hill it had to draw power somewhere else. Hey if you didn't get it right, you got the top part right, I'm a girl.
