I never see any 5th Gens in any major car magazine.(Car & Driver, Motor Trend, Road & Track, Automobile) outside of a Nissan Ad.

 

Hey, check out the Road&Track for the Discount Tire ad, however ONLY a Maxima owner would notice from that angle shot.

BTW, the rerun of "Real" World NY last night(yes I watch it sometimes!) had a 5th gen parked on the street in one episode. I swear it was a 2001 AE, but I barely got a glimpse.

I think it's the newest automobile mag (one of the worst mag.) have an Ad. for cardirect or soemthing like that, the whole pages is filled with Maxima.

 

You win the goldfish!! I think it was green though. I think it's the first time I have seen a Max in an aftermarket ad. Those wheels looked sharp too.

speaking of which,

Did anyone notice a black (?) 2k2 Maxima in the VW "It's closer than you think" TV ad?

It's the part where an aerial view of an intersection is shot and the guy jogging crosses the pedestrian lane.

I'm no 100% sure it is a Maxima but those headlights are hard to miss.

 

About three issues ago Motortrend had a page review of the 2k2 talking about the upgrade in horsepower and addition of the 6-speed. They had some pretty good things to say about it. Also mentioned that the discounts would be large like we have seen and that the Max is a great car for the price.

 

You NEVER see anything in the Import Tuner mags about Max's .

Is it the 4 doors? The lack of ricability?

I thumb through those things hipin they show a performance monster Max, but all I see are Civics, etc.

We need our own mag.

I've never seen a 5th gen Maxima detailed in ANY magazine. It's like the car doesn't exist in the eyes of the motoring world. WTF, man?!?!
