Possible security LED swap?

Possible security LED swap?
Is there anyway to switch out the stock red blinking security LED to something like a superwhite or blue? I took the clock off and took it apart, but it doesn't look like the red LED can be replaced. Any ideas on this? Has anyone done this or thought about it? Thanks.
