Which rear sway bar is better?

I have a new 2K3 SE (got it yesterday). I traded in my 2K. I want to put a rsb. on my new Maxi. Which rsb is better, the Stillen or the Addco? And why please.

I'm also looking at the same topic. From what I have compiled:

- They both get the job done.
- Both bars seem to be made of high quality materials; the other hardware (bolts, brackets, etc) seems to be better in the Stillen, IMO.
- Again, IMO, installation seems to be more straight forward and easier for the Stillen. There have been reports of scrapping/clunking noises from the Addco bars, which needed some tweaking of the position of the brackets and reports of squeaky noises, later fixed by installing new bushings. Haven't heard of any such problems with the Stillen, but I have only been around this forum for less than a year.
- IMHO, the Stillen bar design looks cleaner.
- Pricewise, you're looking at least $100 difference, Stillen being the most expensive.
If you decide to go with Addco, there is a GD currently going on, $115 shipped from Cattman.

I'm not looking to mod my Max too much, but I'm starting to get annoyed by the Max's "loose" rear-end.

Hope this helps.

Personally, I would go for the Addco and use the extra money to pick up a Courtesy RSB. Why not make your money go farther?

I had the addco, had the mounting bracket problems, replaced it with the new adj stillen. Much nicer. Then again, I don't care to save a few dollars here or there. I have the Stillen FSTB and now the Stillen RSB. The addco bar was the first time I got something cheaper and ended up having to replace it. Call me a snob...

Anyway, to make my point, I'd pick Stillen for the RSB.

Just in the interest of equal airtime, since we have had a few stillen RSB owners recommend that one, I own the Addco and highly recommend it. The clunking and squeaking issues with the Addco can EASILY be avoided by proper installation. A friend and I did ours together this weekend, both Addcos, and by torquing the nuts down on all brackets to 28 ft./lbs. and by lubricating the bushings prior to installation we were able to get a perfect install the first time with no noisy side effects or problems. All you have to do is learn from other .org members mistakes, and you essentially save $100...
