carbon fiber hoods

hey guys what up...i have a friend, call him G, who has a friend that owns a company, i think, and he can make carbon fiber hoods...i told G about the org and he talked to his friend and he said that if i can get about 10 buyers, he can make us hoods...now the slight problem is that he cant remember how much each hood would cost, but the range is $350-550...and imma be the test monkey i guess but the only way it works is if 10 buyers actually line up...i know its kinda ehhh cuz quality and all that comes into play here cuz the other c.f hood deal w/ JHans is from FiberImages, which im guessn is a well-known company, but lets say the hoods will be $450 [in btwn $350 and $550], how many ppl would definately be interested?

Oh man, a friend of a friend of a friend...

I've asked this before. What sort of engineering goes into these CF hoods? Do they come with crash/fold points? Do you need hood pins, or are they reinforced? Do they come with mounting holes pre-drilled?

I'm all for reduction in my front-end weight bias, but not at the expense of having a guillotine in a front-ender...

Waiting for a new hood anyways

I took my car to a car wash b/c freaking birds in NJ love themselves black 2000 maximas..and the machine to dry the car roll on my hood a little bit too hard and put some minor dents on the hood. anyway, it's going ot cost me about $200 - $300 to get repaired, but if Carbon hoods will be available, then i'm in.
