wheel weight problems

I have a concern with putting heavy wheels on my maxima; unfortunately, the two wheels I like (Moda R6's and Mille Miglia Evo 5's) are heavy in 18"s;
I am aware that there will be some performance lost, but that is not my concern.

Is a heavy wheel hard on the clutch and engine; I've heard of people with Civics (granted their civics) tearing up their clutches with 17" wheels; is the max in ANY danger with a heavy wheel?

Hard to tell, what's your driving style? If you drop the clutch on higher rpm's just to get going faster than normal then that would definitely shorten the life of your clutch.

Then again, that would happen even if you had 15's.

It's all up to your style of driving really.
