Help guys, need help analyzing my tire/allignment problems...
Hey whats up guys. As some of you know my recent tire dilemas were really ticking me off. But finally I charged two more pairs of Nitto's (for my stock 17's) which I put on the front and the two I had in front for ~2 months had thrown on back. Well my step dad has been yelling at me for a while about how the rear "bar" that goes between the two rear wheels is bent supposedly because I ran a curb and no matter what the tires will wear unevenly. The old tires were really bad on the rear tires the part inside had an OK amount of tread and the outter part had NONE, down to under the rubber. Both are wearing unevenly. So I did a 4-wheel alignment when i bought these tires a couple days ago, and the guy said something like everything is ok and something to the extent of how they dont touch the back they only adjust the front to match the rear. SO, the question is if the cr@ppy tire place said it's ok is it? And any way of repairing the bar? Whats the formal name for the bar? and HOW MUCH will it cost!?!?!? THanks in adv guys
You'll need to take it to the dealer or a very good mechanic shop. A good shop will usually charge you for an inspection, but will take it off of the price if they do the work. The problem will be finding a reputable shop.
no...
There is no alignment to the rear. You *can* to a 4 wheel thrust alignment, but that only makes sure the rear is tracking properly to the front. There is no adjustment to your problem.
