Good Job Dummy (Help!) Leather seat related
OK...my dumb *ahem* scratched my leather in my car because of a screwdriver in my pocket. Yes my own fault.
After doing a search, and not getting any good solutions (I am not using "as seen on TV" products) I am appealing to the forum.
I know I will not be able to get it "fixed" (not noticable) short of havin a new skin put on. BUT, how can I keep the existing scratch/hole from getting any bigger? Its not long or large but I know leather will expand and contract a little and this WILL cause it to get bigger.
Any thoughts from people that have had this happen?
BTW the incindent is NOT on the seating surface but rather the "edge" of the bolster on the door side.
Thanks!

There is a crack filler ‘Flex-Fill’ which can be used to fill minor cracks. If the leather is actually torn you patch it from behind using a piece of leather or canvas and some contact cement. You use the filler to build up the surface before sanding. A friend of a friend used it to patch up a tear in his seat. I haven't seen how it turned out but heard it looked pretty good and the stuff is really flexible. I'd consider trying that and if it doesn't pass inspection I'd go have a professional take a shot. Good luck!
