Hello my Maxima brethren. Just sharing my latest orders. I just ordered the Pacesetter STS, now back in stock at Custommaxima.com, along with the Random Technology Cat. Went over to Summit Racing to pick up some Header Wrap to wrap the y-pipe up and see if I can silence it just a bit more. Also ordered blue wire loom from JC Whitney along with a few extra feet of the blue silicone hoses from HoseTechniques to complete the engine dress-up.

I have a friend in town the weekend after this one and I have already informed him that he should bring some ratty clothes since he will be my personal assistant for a day.

Now, on to find out if I can get somebody who loves me to give me some 235/40/18 Potenza RE730's for my birthday so I will have something to wrap around some SSR Competition 18"x8.5" wheels.

 

You've been real busy with your car lately . Any plans to get a SC?

It is not at the top of my list. I will upgrade the clutch and flywheel before doing the SC. Really want to do the rims and since a set of 18" Competitions with RE730's will run me about $2500, I'll probably stay away from a $3500 supercharger for, at least, a couple months.

I'm having too much fun with the Maxima (working on my car is my weekend stress reliever) to trade for the G35 Coupe I have coming. I'm still on the list, but pretty sure I'm going to pull out of the deal when push comes to shove. Working on my car is a hobby and the more I spend on my car, the less I tend to work on it. You know, don't screw with the warranty on a $100K car, but a $30K car is a different story. This Maxima has turned out to be the best vehicle purhase I've ever made across the board.

 

Yeah, sold the AE lamps and SE tails. Wish somebody was interested in stock springs, struts, and y-pipe with less than 5K miles on them. Just taking up space in my storage unit right now. If I do the rims, my AE rims will be on the market for sure...Just don't have a need for separate winter and summer tires in Seattle. I just put new Pilot Sport A/S tires on them less than 5K miles ago, so I imagine I won't sell them all too cheap.

Hey, I'm just hoping I get lucky. My lady is always telling me I am the hardest person to shop for...so I thought I give her a suggestion. If not, I guess I'll have to suffer through buying them both. Since the birthday is approaching, you never know. She got a "little blue box" for her last birthday, so she might just owe me.

I haven't ordered them yet. See my threads in the Canada forum and General forum to find a good deal. At this point, the best deal I can find is to order from wheelboutique.com and pay for a Platinum membership at maximaforum.com which gets you a 10% discount. About $430/wheel for the 18x8.5, so about $1550 for all four after the discount plus shipping (plus $30 for the maximaforum membership). Tire rack is selling them for $449/each and the RE730's for about $200/each. If I can find a good deal in Vancouver, Canada, I'll drive up and take the exchange rate and tax-free purchase, but otherwise I'll suck it up and shell out the cash I suppose.
