breathalyzers...
breathalyzers...
Ok guys, just a quick question, has anyone used a breathalyzer like this one or this one before?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=1367390810
I figured it would be a good idea (especially for us college kids) becauseit could avoid bas dituations number 1, and it would be a lot of fun at parties number two. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with breathalyzers outside of law enforcement...
Cuz hey, no one wants mess up our sweet Maxs...

But, it would be a lot of fun, but it might be kinda dangerous too! 'I bet I cna get to .2 before you!' 'Nuh-uh, I can get to .3 before you get to .2!' But hey... you're only young once...
Re: Re: Re: Re: breathalyzers...
the main thing to be concerned about is the accuracy of the device... i read through the whole thing rather carefully and found nothing stating the actual accuracy, like plus or minus .001% which would be good... i did however see this :
"pre-calibrated to a sensitivity level of .05% BAC"
i dont know exactly what they are saying with that, but it doesnt sound that good if its plus or minus .05 cuz thats the difference between no alcohol and legally intoxicated lol...

just keep in mind... that while the results breathalyzer test are important, "passing" it does not mean you wont be going downtown. i had the unlucky privledge of being given a field sobriety test and the breathalyzer on our country's birthday a couple weeks ago.
if you fail the field test it means you arent able to drive... EVEN if your alcohol limit is within "acceptable" limits. you know what i mean?
luckily i passed both.

I've had one for about a year. I've used it for the same things that you're wanting to. At parties they're sick fun!

I paid $60 for mine, so I can't vouch for the quality of that one. But if it works at all, you'll probably get your money's worth. Plus, I probably got ripped on the price.
You can also get them at those "Sharper Image" stores for about $40-$50 in some malls.
One warning... It's gonna get dropped 467 times, as mine has! So don't expect it to last very long. But they're hillarious and can save your A$$ too!!

sorry...
I agree.. Its a worthy information, hence I didnt delete it right out as it was suggested I do by others. But ultimately its not 5gen related.. Just a heads up that it will be deleted in the near future, so dont be surprised.
Personally, I wont drive if I've partaken in the frosty beverage. Just too much to lose.

I am never, ever drinking again. So I have no need for a breathalyzer......
