NiceI've always loved that color. I love the in-dash DVD. Did you install it your self? That's gonna have to be my next mod. Next summer equals Road trip.

**** man, how did you get those video game ports in the little compartment?

I wanna replace my double din on my 2002 with a flip out screen and DVD player, probably the first thing I'll do.

Band-Aid
Meguiar's Polish. Zymol Wax. Want to do the Zaino but waiting for another group deal. Hint Hint someone.

I knew someone was going to say that . Problem is that the back sits about an inch lower than stock because of all the weight in trunk so that means my only option is Coil-overs and I don't have the money for that right now. Still have to make the payments for 3 years.

Controller rewire
Had the Nintendo in the previous car so just needed to make some modifications (Old install) . Rewired (first link) with computer cable and used piece of ABS plastic and fastened them in place. Used another piece of ABS to cover the screw holes and make them flush (Glue).

but where did you find a 2 din dash kit?
It is the Scoche kit with slight modifications. The pocket was cut out and the piece that Snaps in over the top din was melted in place with the bottom half cut off. The top part of the pocket piece that was cut out was removed from the pocket piece (the curved section that creates the double din. The top din receiver (IVA-C800) used the original holes in the metal brackets while the DVD player require some new holes to be made in the metal bracket to get them flush. The holes are approximately .25" up and back of the original mounting holes. Hope that helps!

do you have any xtant stuff in your car?

Still planning on it. Trying to get the installer that did my car to do it after hours since no one that I know has done the switch back (From 2k2 to 2k). If someone knows how it can be done and has a diagram then I'd love to see it so I could try it myself.

Hey I notcied you have the same setup as I do in have a dual single DIN setup. Now one question, where did you get the trim kit for the dual single din opening?

Because yours is all BLACK and does not match the rest of your ACvents and what not. The one I got from SoundDomain.com is color matched to the Vents. And it only cost $10.

Last question, how did you mount the Units? To the Factory brackets? Did you do the install or did you have it done? Cause I did mine entirely myself.

I got the only kit that was available at the time, made modifications, fiberglassed over and painted as close as possible to vent color. Yours looks a lot more like the vent color, I might look into that since it won't take more than a few minutes to change. Dave from Audio Xcellence did all the work, and read above for how it was mounted.

Stock kit on left, modified on right.

Yea I would defintely get the new one since it is only $10 and like you said it only takes 5mins to change.

I like the rear setup, but I am a man of keeping everything in my trunk completely sleeper to the point where I have ever cu.in. of space for traveling.

I had that large box with the two 10s, but finally removed it and removed the spare tire and put the two subs in there. I fiberglasses the entire sparetire well and put the subs in there. I love it now. I am looking into new Amp for the subs since I blew the Rockford Fostgate 800a2. I am thinking of either the JL 500/1 or the Memphis one that puts out 1100 watts. Im amazed at how small they are but produce so much power.

Question....

This is for XtantMaxima, BigDogJonx, or any one that has a system in there car, but I was wondering how long the RCAs you guys used are? I have RCA cables that are 12 feet long but doubt that it will reach all the way to the back of the trunk since I will be mounting the amps in the back. Thanks guys.

Well...I used 10' Stinger RCA cables and had no problem.

But...
the cables are run from under the passenger seat because that is where the brain of the IVA is located. If you have to run the cables to the headunit in the dash, you are going to need longer cables.

I have 12" footers also. And I have my master unit under my drivers seat and it is still like 4feet too long.

Thanks XtantMaxima and BigDogJonx for the info. I guess I need longer RCAs since you don't have them connected from the headunit to the amps alone. I forgot you guys have DVDs and other goodies. Thanks again, now I now for sure what I need.
