30 Shot NOS on 02 Maxima

I have been deciding whether or not to buy a 30 shot NOS setup kit by Venom or Nitrous Express. I have a automatic 02 and want a little more juice out of it to keep up with the 6spds. Does anyone have any input on this setup? Does it take away me rev-limiter so I can redline? I don't like to manualy shift the automatic transmission, i rather put it in D4 and just press the accelarator. Now, i havent' spoken to either Venom or Nitrous Express for this kit, but i have heard of 30 shot Nos setups on automatic Max's. Correct me if i heard wrong. I also don't want to damage the internal mods, so the 30 shot would be the less risky for me...

If anyone with a Nos setup on the Maxima, could you please help me on my decision. Should i go with the NOS or just stick with the boltons.

Best thing to do for safety is to get an ignition system (aka MSD) and then use a window switch for the nitrous. It will only activate when the car is used within certain rpm range (ie.. 2800 rpms - 6500 rpms, etc..or right before the tranny shifts into the next gear)

Because, with nitrous, its the spraying under power while it changes gears that can damage the auto tranny. Keep the nitrous flowing at the correct rpms, keep the shot low, and youll have many miles of smiles. =)

Btw- go with Nitrous Express. I have sold LOTS of their kits, have an employee with a 50 shot on his Neon, and overall we have had a wonderful experience with their kits.

Check this thread, installing Nitrous on the 2k2 isn't as simple as you think.

I am currently getting a nitrous setup on my 2k2 right now. SR20Den is the person to talk to , however there is a thread going called for the nitrous guys that you should read. This is not an easy setup to try and accomplish, as it imvolves purchasing a booster fuel pump, fuel regulator, and custom fitting the activation switch. While it sounds like a good idea, there is MUCH more than meets the eye. Good luck!
