I'm on H&R springs and Tokico struts. I am very happy with the ride, see my cardomain site for pictures. Not all too much stiffer than stock but lower and reduced body roll.

You probably should do a search on this forum for "springs" or "struts" and you'll find a plethora of information on this topic discussed over the past couple of years.

I have just installed the eibach(pro-kit) springs in my 2k2. I used stock struts and stock tires and wheels. Let me tell you, I am very impressed. I was trying to get rid of the wheel well, but maintain a kind of soft ride. After install, I found to have a 1 finger gap between the tire and wheel well in the rear and a 2 finger gap in the front. I took it for a ride and the quality is nearly identical to stock, very slightly stiffer. I am sure with a different set of struts it would get much stiffer. But I wanted a kinda soft ride still, just wanted the gap to go away. It took me and a friend about 3hrs, which included springs, painting calipers, and undercoating any blank areas under the car. Bottom line is I am very happy. Just need an alignment in another day or two. Good luck.

I have the same setup as Tallyman. Stock struts and Eibach pro kit springs. I also have 19" rims. I thought the ride would be harsh, but it turned out the same or dare I say a little better. The stock struts are not bad at all. Maybe down the road, i'll switch them out...but for now, the combination works well. Just my opinion.

Wow look2me40, those are stock struts in those pics? 19's are not banging the wheel well?

I really need to stop looking at your car, you're going to cost me a lot of money (I can't let you stay the best looking max in Frederick now, can I?)

I'm going to put on the pro-kit springs as soon as I can find some spring compressors, and look2me40 stops by to help me out (hint-hint).

got this straight out of the FAQ thread

Inches (front/back)
Eibach 1.3, 1.0 (stiff)
H&R 1.4, 1.3 (near stock)
Progress 1.7, 1.5 (near stock)
Intrax 1.75 all around
Sprint 2.0 all around (stiff)
B&G 1.6, 1.6
Ground Controls adjustable (very stiff)
MaxSpeed 1.7, 1.4 (near stock)

the ride quality is pretty much based on your own tolerance. I have eibach and koni, and it is not as bad as I expected. Try search to get more opinions.
