That's a bit trickier. There is a little piece of plastic on either side of the adaptor which juts down into the holes in the metal to keep the pieces attached. You have to lift both of those plastic pieces up to get the sucker out. I did this with a flathead...did one of them and pulled just enough to prevent it from re-seating itself and then used the flathead on the other side. It can be a little tough, but you'll pull it off with a little patience.

Mike,
Now i have a ? for you. My cig. lighter is a little loose, like if i plug something into it, you can move the plug left to right. Is their a way to tighten this so it will not move?

That's odd, but I would say get a little eletrical tape and wrap it around the metal piece before sliding it back in. Keep in mind that you should not wrap it with anything flammable since it gets hot in there when in use.

Right...Ice's instructions work well, except I managed the removal of the lighter adaptor while only working out one side at a time while his instructions suggest using two flatheads and trying to do both at once. Whichever works for you is all you need to know. Good luck.
