My registration is due next month and I had to get my first smog done on my car. I went down to the little hut next to a 7-11 to get it done. The guy scans my vin # with a handheld scanner, then procedes to insert a cable into the consult port. ~2 min later he unhooks the cable, hits print and I'm done. They don't even hook up the sensor to the tail pipe, just read the computer. Buddies brother is in town that does engine depelopment at Ford and he said that he could burn a chip in 10 min to make any car(Ford) pass a smog check. Just interesting. Didn't even check for Y-Pipe, exhaust or intake.
