rear window visor

I saw someone with a rear smoked lexan type visor one time. It was near the top of the roof, at the top of the rear window, and protruded out, maybe 1/2 foot. Is that available for the 2k2? Anyone have a link for me?

(Sorry if this is an old topic, I tried to do a search, but it doesnt seem to be working for me!)

Re: rear window visor

Are you talking about the rear window sunshade? If so, I believe the I30 comes with it. I saw a commerical the other day that showed the driver pressing a button and the power sunshade came up. I noticed the 2003 camry comes with one too.

I badly want to swap my rear deck out with I35 parts to get this option, but someone told me that the parts are like $600!

sounds like a nifty contraption, but spending 600 for one? i seriously doubt it would be worth it, but maybe you could search around on ebay or used parts and fine one for cheaper, could be a cool investment.

i wanted to buy the one from http://www.dashcover.com/access.html and set it up on the windshield, hardwire it to my car, and connect it to my alarm so whenever i lock the car the shade will go up. (i'd have to cut a slot for the rear view mirror though)

the guy at dashcover.com didnt want to sell it to me if that was my intention. i think i might do it though.

ohhhhhhhhh! they make something like that for 4th gens but i dont think there is one for 5th gens.

contact "SYCEFIRO" or "Shadow" and ask them about it. see if a 4th gen one will fit a 5th gen. (i THINKthose two guys were selling them but im not sure)
