but i have a dumb question.... is the 00 and 02 both consider 5th gen maxima? since they have different engine.....

and most engine mods for 00 will not fit on 02 right?

they use the same body......just like GS300 and GS400. Besides SC and ypipe....I couldnt think of anything that is not interchangable bwtn 2k and 2k2.

 

Still a 5th Gen. Same body, tranny and suspension.

Uh, I don't think so. They beefed up the automatic and added the 6spd (which you can get with the HLSD), which I am sure is beefed up too.

 

I've owned both a 2K and 2K2 and power wise they feel like two completely different cars. Handling they are very similar. The 2k2 is quiter, smoother, and faster. Don't get me wrong, I loved my 2K SE and I'd take any 5th gen Maxima!

I only thought they made it look prettier.

 

they auto for 2k and 2k1 had too many problems, they have to take some corrective actions. it will be fun to see nissan extend the TSB to another year.
