hmmmmmmmm

There doesn't seem to be much options for or OEM wheels (this has been discussed before). Does anyone run a 235/50 R17 on their car or do most people stick with the 225/50 R17? I need new tires bad! I live in the DC area so they have to be all season. Are the pilot A/S's as good as people rave? What about the Nitto's 450's and 555's? I've heard people complain about road noise with the Nitto's.

Thank you for answering ANY of my questions

Nito 555's are solid, not great not bad...You can run a 235-45 and be good.

Unbelievable! What part of "you can NOT run 235/45R17 tires on your OEM rims and remain in spec" are you having trouble understanding, max'n out?

so which TIRES?????

ok, I know what tire sizes that I can get; don't worry Kev, I will not put the wrong size on my car. The only tires that I've seen are the OEM wheels so far that I've considered are the following:

Nitto- 450 (I've had one good maxima.org review and read several decient reviews on epinions.com)

Nitto- 555 (I've gotten an ok review form the .org; epinion people say that they're noisy and over rated)

Pilot Sport A/S (great review across the board....but a little expensive)

I feel like for the price of the A/S, I could get a set of Evo5's and decient tires for a little more.

Have you looked into Dunlop SP Sport FM901s? They're cheap and really sticky!
tread wear is 200 so not to good there but that aside they're great!

Ah yes. Another perfect example of attacking the messenger when one is incapable of attacking the message. Nice try, max'n out.

Thats it??? Come on give me somthing more than that.

O and by the way, his main post never said anything about wanting or having to maintain "factory spec"...And his speedo will only be off by 2mph so I see no prob with what I said.

"There doesn't seem to be much options for or OEM wheels (this has been discussed before)." (Excerpted from T-bones main post.)

NP, T-bone. I'd recommend that you continue to ignore those who advise you to run out-of-spec tire/rim combinations. As you can see, keeping threads like yours straight is often a thankless job, but someone needs to act responsibly in giving people advice. As long as there are those who refuse to do so, I'll continue to show up armed with the facts. That will usually send them scurrying . . . but not always.

Good luck on your tire selection.

T-bone...you may want to consider the

Michelin Pilot MXM4s if you're looking to improve from the Potenzas a bit in the dry and a lot in the wet and are also interestested in making your ride a bit more supple and soft.

I went this route in lieu of the more aggressive Pilot Sports A/S and am very pleased with my decision.

They're also about 30 bucks less than the Pilot A/S
