Reverse lights

I did a search and I read that someone said that in the reverse lights of the 2002 max, that you can use the W2 piaa extreme white bulbs. I was looking at them online and it says they use 18 watts but in the owners manual it says that the reverse lights are only 13 watt bulbs. I was wondering if the W2 bulbs will work anyway or if they will damage anything. Has anyone tried this?

I use the Piaa Extreme Whites in mines for a while now and no problems.. I doubt you'll have to worry about the voltage because your not constantly running your reverse lights for a long period at a time so it shouldn;t matter..

Would the Polarg M6 bulb also work because it has the same bulb number as the original one thats in there now. The M6 bulb says 18 watt T16 and the owners manual says the back up light is a T16.
