wah?
"backing"? ummm no.. have no clue what they are talking about (and I doubt they do either). You need the housings (with ballast and burners), and you need all the connectors. The connectors are (if I remember correctly) something like $35 more. They are way off with that 700/1200 thing.

To clarify, since I just went through this process, Courtesy Nissan will sell the pair, with housing and ballast, as 2k2 stock, everything except the connection plugs for about $1,000 (just lowered price).
The connectors/plugs from Dave Burnette 800-251-7278 from Town North Nissan run $74 for the set.
im not interested in aftermarket HIDs...
i think if we can get about 10-15 guys together we can get at least $200 knocked off the price for a pair of 2002 NISSAN MAXIMA ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT HIDs. so far, i've had 3 guys email me and tell me theyre interested. now, im no mathematician so i busted out the calculater and figured out that 3 is no where near 10 or 15.
guys, i am not going to waste my time and the sellers time by coming to them with 4 buyers.

Is the installation of the HIDs easy? Is it something that I can do myself? Any splicing and soldering required?
Thanks,
J.

Re: Re: Re: Re: How Much for Xenon
Well, my friends sister works at an independant car dealership that uses cars at auctions. They get all parts from all car dealerships for wholesale prices. Well the 2002 HID Stock Headlight assembly without wiring is like $730 wholesale, but I would sell it for $850 saving people over $150 and making about a $100. I havent decided if I will do it or not yet, depends on the offers.

If you make $120 each unit.. you think you can call Courtesy or somewhere else.. and get yourself a GD on the wiring kits?
Then just sell them to us that way..
This way you are selling COMPLETE kits for $150 under cost
Sounds good to us

And still sell the HIDs for $850
This way.. your atleast selling a complete kit.
Its pretty cool and alot would probably go for it. But I do know alot of people that if they need to go buy wiring kit somewhere else.. then the lights from you.. they get a little lazy about it.
Your still making some money off us at that point.
There is a Nissan dealer near me that will sell the entire kit for $800, and would be willing to give us a better group deal depending on the # of units we buy. I would be happy to set this up if we can get alot of ppl in on this.
Sounds good
$800 for the whole kit? That's a steal!
