2002 headlamps for a 2000

I have a few questions here. First, will a 2002 Headlamp fit into a 2000? Second, If I buy a 6000k HID system for my 2000 maxima, is it worth the $500? Does it look like real xenon like the 2002 headlamps?

Where can I find a site or place that sells the 2002 Headlights to me for a good price? Is $595 a good price for them?

If you can get them for $595 for both, the complete set, left and right then that's a great price. If the answer is yes then share the wealth, where are you getting them? I'm down for a set

remember he's not talking about the 2k2 nissan oem hids, guys. 2k2 hids cannot be had for $595!!!

the nissan oem hids on the 2k2 usually cost a little over a grand for the pair. courtesy is selling them for $998.00 and i dont know if that includes all of the parts needed for the conversion in your pre-2k2 maxima.

there are some crappy hids out there... so dont buy these "cheaper" aftermarket ones without studying all of your options first!! make sure theyre what you really want!!

No, I'm talking about the 2002 HID headlights for $595.. and I have seen some for $750... $1000 is a rip-off!

I think you're mistaken. Either they're not OEM, or they're $595/side. I remember when they first hit the market, and you could buy them for $500 for the pair, but then everyone realized how popular they were going to be, and jacked the price up.

However, if these are OEM HIDs and they aren't damaged or anything. And the company's selling them for $595/set. Then you'd be smart to buy all of them you could, and sell them here on the org.

I think you need to check your information again, and read the FINE FINE ULTRA FINE print - there is no way 2k2 HIDs could be $600?? Unless we've all been kept in the dark about that special price~

They ONLY come as a complete unit(housing, bulbs, ballasts).

It's per side or else they're NOT getting them from Nissan.

Ok, the guy said that courtesy sells them for a good price, but he was giving me a deal because they were used 2002 HID lights from a Demo car that was wrecked but the lights were never damaged. He said he has 2 used sets with a 1 year warranty. Thats all he said.

Yes...Courtesy sold these for $1,300 for quite some time and just recently reduced the price by $300. A used/non damaged set w/ a one-year warranty for $600 seems like a nice deal to me if they are truly not damaged and comes with everything a new set does. Go for it!!

For one, there are ALOT of stolen headlights out there. To keep your Karma in check, you may want to investigate that story before buying. Secondly, I understand that HIDs dont like extreme shock and/or vibration. I'm not sure to what extent a wreck could affect them. The effect could be nominal and make no difference in their lifespan, but something to look into.

Ya but how would I know if their stolen? Thats not my fault nor my problem. I'm not going to ask for the VIN of the lights and everything when i'm getting a good deal, dont you think? Ya, I dont think i'm gonna get the ones that were in a wreck because I found another person who has some for a lil more. Do the 2002 HID's run at like 4300k??

well...

I think you will find alot of people that would take exception to you buying their stolen headlights. Help create the market for stolen lights and you run a higher risk of losing your own. It's Car Karma.

Plus, we cant count the times we've seen stolen ones on ebay with very essential parts missing. parts missing that render them useless.

That aside, there are plenty of ways to find them legit for roughly the same price.

Well the people who got them stolen won't be getting them back probably and how can you know they are stolen.

youre totally missing my point...

buy them where ever you please, thats your business. You probably wouldnt get theft by receiving anyway.

My point is, if you deal with a less than savory character, dont be surprised if you end up getting burned as well.

How much do you think Nissan sells their headlight assembly's to car dealerships and car companies for?

I'm leaving town for a few days, or else I would do this myself, but why doesn't someone call Courtesy and find out of they will do this? Find out how many we need to buy and how much they will be.

why dont we try to figure out how many people actually want to buy them before calling and wasting our time and their time. i've only had one person email me so far and say that theyre interested in a group deal.

that makes 2 people. me and the person who emailed me. we cant get a group deal with only 2 people, people!
