They both look nice, but if you want a cleaner look the AE sills are better....

Get the AE ones...

personal opinion, but alot of the 'lighting effects' on cars push them down the road toward RICE!!!!!

they're not headed towards Rice-ville - they're pretty clean. It would be tacky if the font was different - it looks pretty clean for what it is...

I think both are nice. The AE's are to easily found and cheaper. Indiglo's are hard to find and more. It's a matter of opinion...

I think i'm gonna change the indiglo to a standard (yellow/white) colored light once i get them. I had an ML320(SUV)last year and Mercedes has illuminated doorsills available for all of their vehicles, and they look FRESH! They're not indiglow though. I'm gonna mess with my sills when i get them, and try to turn the light from blue.. to yellow.

The AE sills are really nice. But the Indiglo ones aren't too bad. They are really clean looking, with the chrome and lettering. From what people have said, they fit well, aren't that expensive, and from pics, they look pretty good. I would be willing to consider both options.

I ordered mine from Ebay just type in Maxima sills or Maxima door sills, or maxima door.. or whatever. Right now i think that's the only place you can get them. They're not manufactured through a specific company I don't think.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1847622129 that's the Mercedes blue colored door sills. The door sills that were offered when I had my ML320 were yellowish/white. Not blue. But you guys have to admit, that blue looks Phat! Now i'm thinking about changing the color from Indiglo greenish blue, to more of a blue color that would match the gauges on my SE. What do you guys think?

That would look much better. Keep the indiglo on a Timex where it belongs.....

Indiglo may look alright, but I wouldn't do it.

My worries are that if I ever had an electrical problem with the interior the service department would bust my ***** over it. They would try to blame anything on me (and the lights) as humanly possible.

I've read other threads about people having difficult times with warranty repair work over things like this. Maybe when I am out of warranty I would start to hack into the electrical system, but not now.

Just my opinion....

Yeah, I just did the search on ebay and found a set for the Max. I dont think that color foes too well with the interior lighing of the Maxima. It does seem to lean a little towards ricey but thats just my opinion. I think it would look good in European cars since they have that bluish light for the interior anyhow.

good point - the illuminated sills would look better with 2k-2k1 SE's, since their gauges have the blue color...

there is some blue in the ring of the gauge, but in no way do our 'gauges have the blue color'

did I say those SE's had BLUE gauges? no
However, I did say that the gauges had some blue color. there's a difference in those 2 statements. I was just saying the illuminated sills would go better with those SE's b/c of the partial blue in the gauges compared to putting it on a 2k2 where there is no "blue" at all

there were posts where people said the back sills are just chrome - only driver/passenger are illuminated - might be wrong though..

I just got them installed

Hey y'all,
I was soo frustrated with the install instructions with the illuminated door sills that i decided to just go have them installed. They look TIGHT!! The installer made them sooo clean. he made all the wiring go thru the wiring bundle between the door and the body of the car, it's a perfect install, better than i've seen on here. I only had to pay labor.. (which is kinda expensive) it's 50 bucks/ hour but it only takes the guy 45 minutes. If any of you are in the Atlanta area and looking for a good place to get your illuminated sills installed, go to Gene C. Truck and Auto Accessories in Morrow (right next to Southlake Mall). Their number is 770-968-4273. see you guys later

So now that they are finally installed, are the rears illuminated too...Or just the fronts? If all 4 are illuminated, are they the same color? Lastly, any 'real' pix?

No, only the front two light up, they look really smooth. I'll take some "Real" pics tonight and post them somehow, even though i don't have a website to host them on, i'll figure out a way to show everbody. I don't know why there haven't been any real pics of them installed yet.. ??? Just those dumb photo-shopped ones on ebay..
