He Russ,
Question about your 2000 Maxima SE. I know you sold it, but I have a question about that creaking noise that you were getting when turning the steering wheel at low speed.
What did the dealer replaced?
I remmember you saying that they replaced the whole strut assembly(mount, bushing, new strut).
My dealer is going to do the same thing.
I just want to know if they did anything else.
Did the noise went away?

Thanks.

Well, 1st thing they did was put rubber piece around the top and bottom coils on the spring hoping that would fix it, nope. They replaced the mounts, nope, they replace one side of the full housing, nope. So finally they grabbed a new car off the lot, and removed its assy and installed them on mine, fixed ever since. And they installed mine on it, no problems! LOL I have no idea really what fixed it, but that is what fixed it the last time they tried.
