13's in the 1/4 mile for the 2k2??

Has anyone dipped down into the 13's in the quarter mile with their 2k2 without the aid of NO2 (or SC or Turbo - if there even are any available yet for the 3.5)??

With the 14.2 - 14.8 range I'm seeing, I'm curious if the simple mods that everyone is raving about (CAI, y-pipe, UDP, exhaust, etc etc) has put anyone into the 13's yet.

I will get there. THis fall or next spring. You all dont know how to drive....

Seriously though. I plan on breaking that mark without power adders. 12s should be the number for anyone on NOS or boost. We will see.

A 6-speed with all the current bolt-ons, short 15" drag radials, and good weather should hit 13s. Any car that goes over 97mph in the 1/4 mile is more than capable of 13s with a 1.9 60'.

With good traction the whole way down the track (1.9 60'):

14.9=88
14.8=89
14.7=90
14.6=91
14.5=92
14.4=93
14.3=94
14.2=95
14.1=96
14.0=97
13.9=98

Umm Dave, I hit a 15.5@91.5 with a 2.4 60', I don't think I'd be hitting a 14.6 even if i got a 1.9, and how in the world do you do that? absolute best launch i've ever had is 2.36, will the spacers in my rear springs help?

Every .1 you shed from your 60', you'll be looking at a ~.2 drop in ET. How do you think Don Cooper got a 14.2@94 in his NA auto 4th gen? It's because he pulled a 1.9X 60' with slicks and a slightly highstall converter. The 1/4 mile is heavily based on traction. There are plenty of Sentra SE-R guys pulling mid 14s at low trap speeds. The difference between us and them is that they are running short slicks and are far more serious about drag racing. Don is about the only guy I know of in this org that actually uses the correct drag racing strategy (ultimate traction). He's also by far the quickest Maxima is this org with far less work than most of us. He runs 12.2s with an auto, slicks, bolt-ons, higher stall converter, JWT NOS ECU and 80-100hp shot of NOS. If more guys were serious about drag racing in this org, we'd have a bunch of 13 second cars. However, guys aren't willing to risk there tranny behind a set of slicks. Go to www.gp-owners.com and you'll see guys running mid to high 13s at 97mph with 1.8 60'. Go to the V6 F-Body timeslip page and you'll see guys running mid 14s at 93mph and low 14s at 95mph.

That's pretty interesting...but wouldn't you think that 2k2's running 14.3 at the track stock, should be able to hit the 13's with the addition of a CAI, UDP and a y-pipe? Or do you think that we've "maxed" out, and that further gains can only be made with better traction??? I.E. The mods will increase the trap speed, but not lower the 1/4 mile time..??
