Car Prob! Please Help

I have a 2k2 6spd with about 15,500 miles on it. Everything has been great until today on teh way home from work. ALl the sudden as I was accelerating from a red light my car started violently shaking. I pulled off to the side of the road. Waited a minute and than tried it again. Luckily I was about 1 mile from home. I found that as soon as the car hit 2400 RPM's the car started this violent bucking. What the hell happened?? I have no engine mods. Any ideas?? I just did a quick search and couldnt find anything. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Sounds like your MAF sensor went.

Search on MAF failures and see it it sounds familiar.

Are you using the stock air filter or a K&N type?

Don't worry about it then, you should have no problems getting replaced by the dealer. I'll add you to the list of MAF failures.

Man that sucks. I guess even stock 2K2's are prone to the evil failing MAF. Maybe I shouldn't get another Max....
