For the 2nd time in a week I've had a mechanic give me compliments about my car. Last week I brought it to one Chevy/Lotus dealer body shop to get an estimate on a scratch. The shop foreman questioned me about my car... about how much I liked it, how much I paid for it. He told me he was in the market for a car and really liked Maximas.

The second time was today. I got my car detailed and the scratch painted. When I came in, he raved about my car. Said the interior was really tight. He said it was much faster than his V6 Camry. I got concerned about that, but noticed that they put less than a mile on my car. He began asking more questions about price and options.

I get comments almost on weekly basis about the color. It seems a lot of people like Satin Blue Pearl. I keep my car really clean and wash it often. I guess that has something to do with it. My house is a mess, but my car is immaculate.

Aaccck! I didn't think of that. LOL. The area of that shop is very busy though, so that works to my favor. (Hopefully)

Re: I bet

Thanks! I bought my car with a full lot and had my choice of color, except Forest Green. They only had one Satin Blue Pearl and I took a liking to it. I like all Maxima colors to tell you the truth. The new Merlot is really nice. SuperBlack is one of favorites, but I thought it would be too difficult to keep clean. The DC guys were giving me hard time and I started to dislike the color. That wore off, especially after I got so many compliments about it. Of all my cars I've had, I've never got positive comments about the color, until now.

I have to agree with Paul because I also have a Satin Pearl Blue Maxima and I always get compliments about the color. Maybe someone can answer this question for me...I've noticed that I don't see as many Satin Blue Max's on the road. Does anyone know if it was a limited color?

Happy holidays!
