Smoked a 2k maxima

Smoked a 2k maxima
before I get flamed for this, I know racing is a bad idea and shouldnt be done, but it was done in a secluded parking lot though.
Well my cousin was telling me that it wasnt worth selling my auto 2k maxima for my 2k2 6 speed. And he said that my car wouldnt be much faster than his auto maxima. So he said that he wanted to race me at our uncles parking lot. I said sure. (he has a cat back exhaust and an intake, as do I.) So we line up and he counts to three. as I hear three I drop it from 2500 rpm and started going, shift into 2nd and by then I had at least 3 cars on him, then I shift into 3rd, I had literally 5 1/2 cars on him, then shut it down. Ive got it on tape but dont know how to post it on the net. It felt good to sho him up and mostof all good to know i wa worth trading my 2k for the 2k2.

Did you ever race him from a roll? I think if you did the race from a roll the outcome wouldn't have been so bad, but in any case 255hp w/6spd vs 222hp w/auto just isn't fair. Thanks for posting the results though. Now I know never to race a 6spd from a dead stop.

I actually lost, he had a good car lenght and a half on me. People have been telling me though that I lost because im loaded with options, and because I am not a "smart" auto driver. Yet, no one gave me advise on how to be a better auto driver... oh well maybe one day

a stock 2K auto puts down about 178 or so to the wheels...
a stock 2K2 6 speed puts down about 205 or so to the wheels...
yup. 5 1/2 car sounds reasonable
...but how big was the parking lot anyway??
