Short Throw Update

For all who have been following me on the Pacesetter STS, thanks for all the feedback and help. Yesterday I went to a performance shop to put it in for me, cause I didn't have the paitence to do it myself. It took them close to 4 hours to do. They didn't want to take the cat off cause of how rusted the bolts were. They just worked around it. Luckily they only charged me for 2 working hours. Only bad part was they couldn't get the stock **** off, so we had to cut it on the seems. If I ever need it, I could just sow it back together. So I just bought a really plain black with some carbon fiber on it **** that is very nice to the hand and eye. Now to the end results. The throw is very short and stiff, but very fun to do. Its not the shortest I could have had, but its higher than medium. Also, they didn't have to shave the ball, it fitted alright. Thanks again guys

exactly. and about the bolts rusting...do you live in an area that would promote rust? Hard to believe that just 2 years would do that.
the 4 hrs spent waiting...u coulda done it yourself. oh wells...it's done! yay! did u get a chance to compare the stock to the ps?

Oh yeah its completly diffrent the throw is cut in half to maybe three quarters. Yeah well there was no way I was getting the bolts off and they just worked around the cat...I would rather pay for something that I could easily screw up than sweating under my car and saying to myself am i sure this is right???

Glad you had no problems - despite all my issues.

I can relate to the getting the **** off issue - I mutilated mine.

As for 4 hours - don't know how the heck it took that long - especially with a lift. I coulda cut the time in 1/2 with a lift and a helper.

I think I probably have the throw adjusted about like yours. I put it slightly shorter than the 50% mark on the STS. I think I may go and shorten it to as short as it goes this weekend.
