i beg to differ. the town car is much more roomier, its much wider and taller. my dad use to have 1, they ride like boats, but have plenty of space in the back. and the maximas head room has nothing on it compared to the town car.

Yup. and the older Gen 4 Maxima is bigger than the Mercedes E class, too. FWD layout is more space efficient than RWD.

They are like a Crown Vic right?
If so I have to agree with edmunds(or whatever) because the back seat of the Maxima is way roomier. I just feel cramped in the CV, it's like it's too cushy.
And yeah it feels like a boat. I think the body is just bulkier or something. The Maxima just has a big back seat.

The edmunds survey is front seats only

Take that finding with a grain of salt. I have a A8L sitting in my garage and there is no way my 00 Maxima has as much room up front.
