Tear in eye....Leaving Maxima world...READ

Well.......I went to buy a supercharger and quite a bit of other stuff for the max to make it the "ultimate" family 4-door. Unfortunately some other events occured, and I will soon no longer be a member of the .org. Here is why:

The reason i had enough money to get this supercharger in the first place is cause i was refinancing my house. My payment was dropping considerably, so i had the extra money. The problem lies with the mortgage company. I can't use the extra funds until we close. So, last week when i was ordering all the parts, I had to call stillen back and tell them its going to be at least a month before I can do all of this. THEN!............

I got bit by the racing bug! My buddy sold me his race prepped 97 formula firebird. I will now UNFORTUNATELY be SELLING my max. I need to buy a tow vehicle for the firebird. I got the car for a steal, and i've been wanting to race for a long time. SCCA regionals....here I come. I am picking up my new Toyota Tundra V8 nexst week. Not a max. but its what i have to do. So, in retrospect I enjoyed all the time I have spent on the .org. YOU ALL ROCK!

EVEN THE LURKERS

And if anybody.....I MEAN ANYBODY needs help fixing their max in the metro detroit area, I am state and ASE certified. I am a tech at the local chevy dealer around here. Call me up and i'll make time if your from the .org.

cya for now

P.S. - I will be selling my Eibach Springs......Some 18" Konig Imagines with Kumho 235/40/18 tires. The rims and tires will pretty much be brand new.

Just cause you don't have the max doesn't mean you can't drop by the ORG anymore. We need knowledgeable people like you here.

You work for a Chevy dealership and you seem to mostly drive import brands. Hmmm...that kinda speaks volumes about all the crap you probably see at work everyday.

Good luck! Be safe racing!

SCCA racing

If you're ever in the Omaha metro area, we have a brand new road course about 20 minutes from us called Mid-America Motorplex. It is a 2.23 mile course with 13 turns. The main front straight is just over a half mile long. There are club nights, including a 4N night where you can run against celicas, miatas, rx-7, etc. They also hold SCCA events. Further, you can rent the track out for special events if you want. One new thing they just implemented is Saturday night street racing. From 7pm until 2am you pay 15 bucks and can drag race down the main straight as many times as you want. ALL kinds of cars are out there. Heck, last saturday, I saw everything from a Dodge Durango to a custom built hot rod that nailed the quarter in about 9 seconds.

You can check them out at Mid-America Motorplex

Good luck with your new firebird!

Damn Ryan...sorry to see you go, and we never got to do a Detroit Max meet.

Good luck with the racing.

BTW, I might be taking you up on your offer to help. I have springs and struts that I need help installing.
