2 weeks old, 900 miles, Check Engine light.
I swear I just must be jinxed with cars. My car is 2 weeks old, has 900 miles on it and last night while driving home from work the damned check engine light comes on.
Call the service department guy (hey, he put his cell phone # on his business card) and he tells me that the car should be "ok" to drive until Thursday afternoon when I come in for the 1000 mile oil change.
My experience isn't starting off all that well here

Listen this same thing happened to me with 3000 on the clock. It's very simple to take care of. First take off your gas cap entirely and let all the fumes out. After a few seconds, put the gas cap back on and tighten until you hear at least 3 or 4 clicks. Then drive it for a little while and the light should eventually go off. Hope this works for you j_j.

I've been driving with the SES light for 1 1/2 years now. I've just learned to live with it...they said its due to my intake (air or something is to rich) but before i started modding my car the SES light was commin on and they couldnt give me an answer at ALL! so i just drive with it..i know how my car runs so i know if there is a problem with it..
That is something I would not tolerate. I'm not even willing to tolerate this current thing. The car is 2 weeks old and less than 1000 and not a single mod has been thought about yet. If the dealer gives me a line of BS that they don't know why - then the dealer will be replacing the car or refunding my money.
I've just come off the car from hell - and I am not about to put up with another piece of ****.

on a brighter note, i like the color of your max. same as mine..hehehe. what did you do about the 3rd brake light since you installed a spoiler?

First mod will be the clear sidemarkers. (well - besides the painted mudflaps). I'd love to do something different w/ the tail lights - trying to see if Vtech will make a cover for them. Then I'll probably look at getting rid of the side by side exhaust and go for a ypipe dual exhaust or something.
Just rolled 1001 as I pulled in the driveway tonight. I'm gonna go give it a bath, try to buff out a scratch, then take some better pics.
I hear you man, don't let the dealer push you around. I'm surprised you settled for that thursday deal. If it was me, I'ld be at his door the next morning. Fix my check engine light
..
nissanmaximas :- if you have an intake installed on your car. check the sensors, you may have one hanging in the wind causing the check engine light to come on. If your car was stock and had a Light, You should've told the dealer I don't give a $hit what you do, I need to know why this light is on. Its not normal. And for the people who ride in your car, look at your dash and think His car is messed up.

OS Senor
Same thing happened with all of our cars. On each tightened the gas cap and the light did not got out. Then took them into the dealer, between each car, 99, 00 and 01 (00 totaled last May) we have had abut7 OS sensors replaced.
