3" exhaust help

Before I go on with this post, let me say I did a search and "3 inch" won't work since 3 is not the character minimum per word (unless I'm stupid and can use a syntax to make it work in which case I apologize hehe).

I've found a few tidbits of info here and there, but what I'm wondering is - has anyone here done a 3" exhaust, and if so, did you have any clearance problems (ie. did you have to saw off your drive axle or something in the process of the install)

I'm waiting to hear back re. the GD on the 3" y-pipe (see the GD forum), and in the meantime have assembled everything else I need to get the exhaust together. My friend has tried to convince me to take the magnaflow route instead of dynomax ultraflo.. so I may just do that... otherwise I'm just waiting on that downpipe and I'm good to go

Thx,
Jer

I am running a 3-inch catback system. There are no clearance problems. It's a little tight, but nothing in the way and nothing hitting or banging during driving. I do not suggest a 3-inch system unless you are supercharged or turbocharged. There is really no need. But if you want to run 3-inch I am looking to sell mine in the very near future. I am tired of it, and I want to go back. I'd sell it at a great price. Let me know if you are interested, e-mail me at foodmanry@hotmail.com

Hmm.. well the problem is I'd probably spend a fortune on shipping; minus the 3" downpipe item price which I'm waiting for, I'm looking at about $550US installed right now

Well I will sell it to you for $300 plus shipping. I can check into the shipping price if you give me your zip code. I think it will be around 50 or 60 dollars. IT's not that heavy of a piece, but it's the size issue. The exhaust is 3-inch, stainless steel with tig welds, and mandrel bent. Originally it was $1000 to fabricate it. And it was fabricated by the same people that make the cattman exhaust parts. So you tell me...you think this is a good deal? I think so...
