Hey guys, I just acquired myself a White 2001 Maxima GXE. I hope to be adding tint and some blue streetglow to the car in the near future, and somewhere down the line adding a system and some engine mods.

Um...nothing, just turned 16 3 days ago, and i get my license the 20th. I can't wait!

I wasn't asking for help with thinking of mods just yet, just letting you guys know my car won't be stock forever.

My insurance is SO much. Right now its $4000 a year because i'm leasing it and if i do something or other for insurance $1000 so it'll be $3000 but that is still insanely alot. Somehow i need to get it down because that's all i have to pay for is insurance since my parents are gonna pick up the monthly charge.

 

I wish I was driving a Max at 16. All I got was a subway token and a pat on the back!

 

yeah I'm leasing too, but in march when it's up, i don't think I'm gonna keep it.
I have plans, oh such evil plans.

well a young maxima driver..cool!...im 18.....my car was bought and my insurance is like 3000+ a year......i paid for all my mods so far...i've spent like $4000+....its crazy...lol.....but i really like my car...its more classy than most other imports i see around atlanta....have fun driving your car...new maxima member.....but once you start modding it's turns into a hobby..it's fun....i start college next monday at ga tech....so i can't have my car the first semester...... ..oh well.....

LoL. Yes I realize that modding cars becomes a hobby as most of my friends already drive and already have modded their cars. How much louder does that intake make the car than it is with a stock intake.

Welcome to the board. I had an '89 max when I turned 16 and got my 2k when I was 18. Be careful and enjoy your car!

 

When I was 16 Mitsubishis were enemy airplanes and milk came in glass bottles.
