Is there any resolution to the 2K1 shift **** installation on a 2K? Last I heard, the plastic thingy needed to be filed down to make the shift **** seat properly. Has then been attempted yet?

I am holding off on placing an order pending the outcome of a successful installation; however, I am about to get impatient and order one anyway.

I figure I have some "specialized" tools, Super Glue, and a real big hammer, if nothing else.

I'm halfway there. I did the work on the plastic internal part of the shifter. I still need to do the filing on the plastic **** on the metal stalk. I want to make sure I'm not going to mess that up before I go forward.
