Battery disconnector?

After having been away on travel for so long, my battery naturally discharged. The guy at the garage who recharged it recommended I disconnect the negative terminal on the battery the next time I take off for extended periods.

Does anyone know of a product that makes it easier to do this (instead of using a wrench)? Like something that clips/snaps on and off the battery terminal?

Thanks in advance.

You might try one of your local RV centers and look for a battery disconnect. It is usually a knife switch that can be flipped to be either on or off.

Also I was just thinking if you use a battery disconnect wouldn't you loose all of you saved radio presets and anything else you battery keeps alive.

You would probably LOSE the presets, but I doubt you would LOOSE them. Sorry.

I think it would be a bigger pain in the as$ to reprogram everything than it would be to get out the wrench for 15 seconds.

But hey, that's just me.

I really don't want to have to go thru removing the battery and going to get it recharged (free at Sears) each time I travel for long durations. I've no problems resetting the radio stations.

I found this and have placed an order. I hope it does the trick.
