Looks good. Now my questions, why did you get 235/35s? when a 245/35 would've been a better size and closer to speedo correctness. Plus you definetely need to lower that car now. The front is major 4x4'ish.

Good work though. Enjoy the wheels 19" brother.

I was going to get 245 but i just wanted to be on the safe side and go with what tirerack.com and a lot of other sites and people recommended. I guess the size of the tire is preference because i heard both sizes would be good. As far as the lowering thing, you are totally right, i will lower the car with eibachs and some new struts but just not right now....in the near future though. thanks for the input.

Oh God!! Dam those EVOs are really trendy, I remember i was obsessed with those, I even had a poster of them. My new obsession are the option sport wheels from the q45 in chrome. They dont exist in chrome yet.

your ride looks hott. who cares if its not lowered. how many black 2k2s have 19's that look so fresh. 1st the wood trim and now the rims, nice work. lower it if you want, but its not totally necessary.

Lowering IS neccessary, especially when you go plus-size. But the rims still look sick regardless.

Rims

I love the rims, congrats.

My 18s with 245s reduced the 4x4 effect, but I might just lower it someday anyway.

Take care

should i get springs and struts? I was thinking of getting eibachs and tokico blues. A guy at Stillen named Dean would sell it all to me for $500 flat. Is that good?

500 for the springs and the struts you better jump on that tht is too good to be true i paid 500 for my springs an alignment and installation. If you ge tthe springs and struts at the same time it would save you the truble of haveing someone install them seperately

i got both from stillen for about that much, but i bought them at different times, but from what i remember, i think they were both close to about $250 for each (springs and shocks).

I was told from Dean at Stillen that i should take about 4 hours for a shop to intall the set of struts/springs. so i assume it would cost between $250 - $400 depending on the rate the shop costs. that is why it is better to get the struts/springs at the same time to say labor costs.

Well, sorry to say, I dont like them one bit...

looks like a redneck Tahoe I saw a couple days ago with 22" wheels and tiny tires...your tires look too narrow and with too little sidewall versus the size of the rim

And yes, you need to lower -now and badly...

Yeah, i suppose your right, but i like to take pics of indivdual mods as i go along. If i dont get new springs for a month then i would have to wait way to long to post pics. besides, it give a great before and after effect for when i finally get springs on the car.

Nice rid and rims Pmas! Kudos for choosing Mille's too. I loved the Evos but decided to go with something slightly different from them. Almost got 19s but my girl drives my car and I wanted to get the best rubber I could so I got 18's with Pilot Sport A/Ss on them. Great ride. Only thing I'd add is they should have suggested 245s instead of 235s but the only thing that matters is you're happy wit em! Nothing like a clean black Max!

The rims look sharp......they are my 2nd favorite rim. Second, only because they weigh a little more than I wanted for my ride.

Enjoy them!

What an idiot...I guess he should've gotten some nice steel 15's with 65 profile tires then? Bigger is better, IMO 19's are about as big as you can go on a Max. I've seen the 20's, and I think that is a little too big for the Max.

Just to give you a tad taller sidewall height which translates into more air cushion thus a slightly softer ride and the air helps in keeping some of the energy oscillation (read big potholes!) from transferring fully to the rim. Not to mention that GENERALLY speaking, plus sizes go up in increments of plus 10 on section width and minus 10 on the aspect ratio. I went from 225/50-17s to 234/40-18s and the next guesstimate would have been 245-30 or 245/35/19s. That isn't always true of course and if I had to do it all over again I would have gotten 245/40-18s because they fill the wheel well better and have a small percentage more air in them. Just my $.02 worth.

Even with my 245s on 18s I managed to bend the rim. I got it fixed, and I'm a lot more carefull now.
As for the size of the rim and tire, if I had to do it over again...
I'd do exactly what I picked the first time.
Good luck and enjoy.
