i've posted earlier that i'm in the market for 19's but was reluctant to drop the car. so, if i go w/ 245/40/19's, it would fill the wheel gap another inch or so. but my speedo would be off 3.3% i.e. when my speedo says 60, i'll be traveling 62. not that bad. what's people's thoughts on this move?

 

Gonna need at least a 8.5" wide wheel. It wont be too bad. If people flame you out, the hell with them. Its your car and you can do what you want.

40 series tires will help protect the rims. That is for sure. I dont think it will be too bad.
