I second that! So does this mean we go to our dealer and get it turned on?

things like this should have been taken car of before taking delivery of the car. they really should charge you for changing your options...but who knows? i just bought my car 1 mo ago and they didn't tell me any of these features.

when i bought my bimmer last year, they give a sheet w/ similar options that you check prior to taking delivery. now that's service. btw, i stil have my x5 and love it, but i use my max as my daily commute.

what's up w/ nissan? i'll be making a trip back to the dealer soon to get my car set up the way i want it to be.

As far as i know, all 2k2 maximas have the remote window operation capability on the keyless remote. The used car lot that i work for gets 2k2 maximas in once in a while and they all have this capability.

Mine too, I remember one night while I was parking to go to some bar, the Parking Helper was amazed when I came back and rolled down the windows, he was mostly amazed at the fact that it came stock, he said he sees cars parking there everynight and mine was the first one he had seen doing that.

i have a bmw currently in addition to my max, and it does that.
i have had prior lexus and infiniti cars that did the window thing too.
i'm sure there are other cars that does it.

It only rolls down the front two windows on the 2K2's. It also works when you turn the key in the d-side door it rolls them down too. I wished it rolled 'em back up!

The dealership that sold my father his 2003 set this feature up. They also showed us how to switch from the horn beeping to flashing lights for the alarm activation.

Works on my 2k3. Just press the unlock for longer than 3 sec. and both the driver and front passenger windows will roll-down.

I just tried it on my 2k2 SE and the key fob does roll the front two windows down but not back up. The windows also went down when I used the key in the drivers door lock by twisting and holding it to the right. They went back up when I twisted and held the key to the left. Pretty cool stuff. I felt like I was in a VW tv ad.

I think the '02-'03 Max share a lot of the new electronics in the '02 Altima and Infiniti I35 and G35. Hope I am wrong, but I don't think this will work for '00-'01 Max's.

I had the remote window lowering on my '97 Maxima. I just took it for granted that my 2K had it when I bought it. Been missing that feature for 3 years now! Nissan did a lot of cost cutting in the late '90's. Remember when Maxima's had cornering lights???

Be sure to let all of us know the outcome.

Well, just spoke to Trophy and the feature is specific to 2002 Altimas. The guy there said he did not think this programmability was in any other models for 2002. 2003 might have it in the Max. Without a doubt, 2000-2001 do NOT have the feature.

Crap!!

How about Sunroof?

Anyone know of a way to set the sunroof to close automatically wheen the car is shut down. I had it in an aftermarket sunroof in my '96 Max. I really miss that feature. I think the 2K2 sunroof's are a little flaky (have to slide the switch just right, etc.)

Any ideas on this?
