tiny white specks on paint...help

i have these tiny white dots all over the top surfaces of my car. and they won't come off with washing. i think i may have to buy that clay bar and rub them out. i think they might be from the parking garage, dust/grit and then it just melts into the wax. if i use my fingernail and scrape it they will come off ,but not easily.
anyone have this problem?

bonus: some of the white specks on the hood turned out to be chips.
imagine that??????

i had some white spots but mine seemed to under the clearcoat. they were there since i bought the car a year ago. i could feel little bumps and thought they were on top until i used the clay bar and they were still there. i think some of it comes from transporting the vehicle from the plant to wherever but in my case i think the paint did not bake properly. most of mine are the back half of the car.

Most likely it's paint overspray from some A$$HOLES painting around your neighborhood or workplace.

If you've seen anyone painting in the area, I'd confront them and attempt to get them to pay for a full detail. That happened to my dads' Dodge Ram. He and everyone at his work, got the electric company across the street to reimburse them for a full detail after the electric companys' employees told them they also all got sprayed.

Supposedly, you can remove it with a claybar and LOTS of time on your hands, but depending on how bad it is, it may be better to get it professionally done.
