I was at the dealer the other day, and I was looking through an accessory brochure for the maxima and noticed there is a trunk mat available. Just wondering if these will fit earlier models. Thanks.

I don't know for sure, but I'd be inclined to think that it would fit any 5th Gen Max. Maybe even earlier models. The trunks are all the same for the 5th Gen anyways... How much is it? Color?

It was made of a real nice black cloth/carpet material and it has a Maxima Badge in Red.

It looked sweet. I think it was between 35-60$ Check it out and lets get some opinions.

Whats so special about this mat? Is it the plastic/rubber one that keeps stuff from being absorbed by the carpet when it gets spilled? My brother has that in his TL.

But I know for sure the 2003 trunk has not changed one bit.

I bought one for my 2k3 max in black(it has the maxima logo sewn into it like the front mat). looks great, is the same quality and material as the front mat and also helps with keeping the trunk quiet. i thought it was a bargain at the $41 dealer cost($59 msrp). i believe they come in the other 2 mat colors...

 

I need to see pictures of this MAT. Im still not figuring out what this is.

When I bought my 2K3 Maxima, the internet sales person gave me one. Its made of the same material as the floor mats. It really looks good. It also has the Maximx logo on it. All 5th gen. trunks are the same, it will fit.
