ok bye bye transmission
for those of you who remember my situation...my car woudn't go past 3K RPM's and late on it woudn't go in reverse at all!
i finally took it to the dealer and they tell me i blew my transmission.
now i'm prolly gonna be without my baby for about 2 weeks?
do you guys know how long it usually takes for this procedure?
thanks

first, they have to locate an auto tranny from another maxima and they called that tranny a "re-manufactured" tranny. can take 2 days can take 20 days, depends.

to remove a tranny and put it back in isn't that hard.. only hard part would if they hafta re do the wires, which they definatley do not need to do. it's like a clutch job, ppl have done them within an hour. so i say if they really worked on ur car, it'll take a day. nissan tends to say "re-manufactured" because that means the part was not originally on your car.. alot of the so called "re-manufactured" parts are brand new parts.. they for some weird reason just arne't alowed to use the term "brand new parts" weird but i guess it serves them a legal purpose.. now refurbished is definately a part that was used but restored.
