Re: 02' MAX vs. 03' cobra?

Oh yeah. That'd be a really close race. It would come down to the driver in that one.

This would a nail biting thriller and would certainly be an awesome race.

Much like the classic Pinto vs Corvette. This could be compared to the Olds Delta 88 vs Ferrari F40. Another close one would be the AMG Mercedes vs the Saturn sedan.

I hope you noticed my SARCASM.

You're gonna need more than 10K. There is a exotic car showroom here that has a '03 Mustang Cobra, he's asking a 10K premium over sticker .
He calls it a market adjustment. There is a saying in the business, "There's an *** for every seat".

His business is doing well though. He has 3 ORIGINAL 427 A/C Cobras. I didn't bother asking how much 'cause I know I can't afford it I think he was insulted when I asked him what kit car manufacturer it was

Re: 02' MAX vs. 03' cobra?

kloogy already posted a "race" (that's in quotes because it was more like a "watch the cobra leave me behind" than a "race").

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ighlight=cobra

it's locked (like this one will be) but it's still a funny read.

Sorry, Kev would still lay on his own sword.

My friend has a new `03 Cobra. That thing is alllll motor. There is not much else that is nice, it is all built around that Eaton-powered pony. Funny thing is when he hits it, you would think it was a V-6, it is soooo quiet. But it moves like no V-6 I have ever seen

How about 02 max vs resale or 02 max vs dealer service? This thread suxs. Anyone feel like having some ice cream, if so what flavor(s)? I could go for pecan + pralines.

ahahahaaah! Sure you will...... the new cobras are running 12.5-12.8 straight out of the box..... I can probably count on one hand how many maximas there are on this board that will even keep up. WIth slicks the cobras dip down to 12.3s, because they are so traction limited on street tires. With an x-pipe, intake, and slicks they'll go 11s, easy, do a pulley change and they're into the low 11s.. Are you getting the picture here? You dont have a chance now and you NEVER will Have a nice day.

lol...come on, you can't be serious.

Wait until Kloogy see this.

One year and you will be able to smoke it?

I highly doubt even Kev will come close to the '03 Cobra if it's driven properly.

The cobra is pulling ~390 hp just on the back wheels, so all we will be able to see is the streak marks that it leaves on the ground. Thats what I call pure muscle.

So you can have a video of Kev being roasted...

My friends 2K3 was running 12.9's stock. 1 Bassani Catback and SC pulley later...12.4's....Working on headers, and ram air next..

This is not a fair race for a Max.. 2 completely different cars, buyers, etc.... I would love to own both FOR SURE !
