02' Maxima vs Space Shuttle any thoughts?

I'd say it comes down to the driver. Some of those NASA guys are up there in years and fall a asleep at the helm, so who knows. The mufflers on that shuttle are a great performance mod too, at least 50,000 lbs of thrust per if he's got the Greddys.
I say they set up a race around the moon and back, that'll settle the debate.

Tim, light off the liquid fuel and see of the wheels roll. Roll or no roll, I'm quite certain the shuttle will be moving
So if we race the maxima and the shuttle wheels don't turn, it a race from a roll or from a skid?

Ah, sure.. but you'll need fuel? dont think it will roll with the tanks... so that leaves you to push it... how many horsepower are you again?

Shuttle is what... 1 speed? Max has a 6 speed... WHat kind of question is this.. I thought you moderators would know better. Have you not seen the Advertisement of the Maxima turning into a comet and running neck and neck with a fighter pilot?

Speaking of Maxima commercials - remember the one about the UFO sightings at Roswell, NM? Everyone knows those UFOs (Maximas) travel faster than light so my guess is that the shuttle is gonna be TOASTED, especially if it looses some of those ceramic tiles on the hull prior to re-entry. (and we Maxima owners think we have problems with our paint chips!....)

Those space shuttles are SLOW off the line. You would blow it away in the 1/4 mile. However, on the Milky highway, you'd be looking at taillights (do they have taillights?).
BUT...if you both started out in space and got a push towards the ground, I think it'd be fairly close...until you turned into a Maximelt.
