I was looking to buy Polarg lights for my whole interior and I was going to order a bulb for the glove box when it occured to me that I can't remember ever seeing light in the glove box. I went to the car to check for a bulb and I saw a white piece of plastic, next thing I know im pushing darn thing and it goes inside, probably never to be found again. Does anyone know what that was for, if a bulb was suppose to be in there. Was I cheated out of a bulb

You made me run out and look. One of those things you think is always there but when you look it ain't. I have the little plastic piece too, no light here. Maybe the Infiniti's have a light.

 

open your glove box, turn on headlights. works better when its dark

where there isn't a light is in the center bin, I'm always rumaging around in there and it would be great if there was a light.

 

Yeah I think it only comes on when the headlights are on, I looked the other day and thought the same thing until I turned the Headlights on... it's there..

 

Oh great! now i feel bad that I pushed in that white piece of plastic I will find out later tonight if the bulb was actually that white plastic thing.

It is Courtesy Nissan's instructions for replacing the in-cabin micro-filter. In order to replace the filter, you end up removing the glove box and also accessing the glove box light. The little white plastic piece is the light cover - not the bulb itself.
