Nose Mask Update
Since I'm bored this evening and the wife is watching American Idol in the other room....I thought I'd do my civic duty and post an update on my Perfect Fit Nose Mask (bra) since there has been much debate regarding the magnetic bra vs. the 3M clear bra, vs. the perfect fit vs. the OEM version.
~as if anyone cared!
After 3500 Miles of painfree bliss, I took the mask off the other day for a recommended washing (underside) before my regular monthly waxing.
First thing I noticed was a visible line of dirt and build-up (albeit very light) where the Mask Line ends on the Hood. Amazing how much crap builds-up even when you wash once a week. This line was still visible after washing, so I proceeded to buff it out with my orbital. No problems. Good as new.
No visible rubbing or chaffing underneath - which was a relief.
Next, I thoroughly hosed-down the inside of the mask with a strong jet from the hose - removing all dust and loose debris that accumulated over the past month.
Bake in sun for two hours -- voilla!
After getting-rid of the dirt and dust on the covered portion of the nose, I noticed something amazing: the paint was NOT chipped or scratched at all!!!
What a novel concept for a Maxima!
Long story short: this thing works very well. Fit and finish are top notch (custom) for a $100 item with a five year warranty that installs in less than an hour.
Best part of all - it saves my paint and looks dang good!!
I highly recommend for anyone looking to avoid the dreaded "front end blues" that we all suffer on the highways.

Now I gotta get a dang car-cover to keep the tree sap off my car....
Happy Motoring!
