No contest. If you want to remain in spec, the best tire available is the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S.

yup.

if you wanna stay within stock specs, you don't have much choice. other than random H rated touring tires, the stock potenzas and the sport a/s's are the two of the only choices.

Nitto 450s are also an option, but only if you live in a dry climate. They're not a good wet weather tire. And St. Louis doesn't qualify as having a dry climate.

of the older, more reputable tire companies, i'd say the michelins are the way to go (he's asking theoretical dream tires)
if they're free, stay away from the nittos.

i got my bfg's for free. i expensed them cuz i drove so much for work. if that's the case, get the michelins.

My wife has a set of 450s on her 2K GXE. So far, so good. But then I wouldn't exactly call her a spirited driver.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. I'd think twice before buying anything else...especially the Nittos.

The Michelins ROCK!

Moses used a set of these!

The performance on the dry is not much better than the RE92s. Most people were in agreement that the RE92s were fairly decent on the dry.

A couple of nights ago, huge downpour, I was comming off the line @ 90-95% power with no slipping!

A couple of things I have found, and I would like the other Michelin guys to pass their 2 cents, they tend to squeel more when starting and going over painted lines (X-walks and the like), 2 at stock pressure (32 psi) they feel a little soft, I put mine up to 34 and things are much better.

Mikey likes!

Michelins are the top dog, but don't talk bad about the Nittos, they are doing just fine and you are the one running 235/50/17

Just giving you a hard time
