Stillen FSTB?
#2
Didn't you get the instructions?
There is a spacer that comes with the kit for one of the lines. The FSTB blocks the path of that line. You need to remove a few bolts, attach the new line harness, bolt the FSTB back on. 30 minutes and your done.
I didn't need an alignment.

You install the Stillen the same way you install any other FSTB. No alignment necessary, takes less than 30min. If you put the end plates on first, you don't even need to loosen any lines...I didn't have to...
There's instructions in the "How-To's" Link to Instructions

I have a 2k2 and I've switched out my stock air for a Berk. I don't see of what use the spacer is since there is nothing there. Can someone explain? I am correct in it going on the right hand side of the car as your standing in front of it correct?

Well, it's installed without the little spacer since I don't for the life of me know what it could be for. I also don't have a torque wrench, but rather tightened the nuts pretty snug. I also didn't use the other nuts that came with it. Should I? I've been out driving for several hours and here's my thoughts on the Stillen FSTB. It doesn't appear to help the handling very much. However, the front end of the car definately feels more sure footed and more solid.

Go get a tourqe wrentch. For the $20 investment, you will use it a lot. I got the $100 one and I use it all the time! Make sure its centered and get yourself a RSB and the combo will make a HUGE difference. You won't notice until you take your first turn at 75 mph and realize you are stuck to the ground!

Virus:
Just installed my Courtesy FSTB last nite - and I agree, not a HUGE difference in handling, but did improve front-end feedback.
My RSB is on back-order from Cattman, should be here in a few weeks.
Figure that'll make a more noticable difference.
I didn't use a torque wrench either - figured it wasn't worth the $60-100 investment since I don't really plan on doing any more mods that TRULY require such a tool.
Keep 'em snug, and that should be good enough.
Hell - $100'd buy me another Mod.........

I did the same thing the when I first put it on..then I got a torque wrench and used that and they were pretty loose still..and I used a hand wrentch and a pneumatic. Torque wrentchs are worth the $20. As Kloogy put it to me, if you can afford a $30K car, you can afford to mod it right.

ok, point taken - but I'm not convinced it's necessary on THESE mods.
The nuts on the shock towers were barely a full turn past hand tite.
Normally I'm **** as hell on stuff like this - but logic withstanding Kloogy's comments....I CAN'T afford it right now!
