APEX'i filter is nice

I got my APEX'i power intake filter from Berk and threw it on my franken mid-pipe. The filter itself is made really well and looks very nice. I drove around with a for a bit and it seems to pull a little harder. Plus, the sound is even deeper hehehe.... For those that are worried about over-oiled K&N filters or those looking for a replacement, the Apex'i filter is definitely worth it....

it was $70 for the filter plus like $10 for the adapter, hose clamps, and silicon tube you need to fit it on to any tubing or MAF adapter. It may seem kind of steep, but the filter has a no maintenance dry element unlike a K&N. It filters very well according to testing and flows great also....

I bought one too...works great..sounds good...looks purdy...and 0maintence...yes its expensive..but for me its worth the idiotproof design (no oil). Especially for the over sensitive nissan MAF

The filtering element. MF's probably flow well (foam is very pourous), but I'm skeptical about their quality and longevity. Even my good friends over and Frankencar have switched over again to K&N and Apex. Even though Steve at first praised MF like it was a gift from god, he's now switched. If you are happy using your MF, you should be alright using it. But with your new plans you may not need this type of filter.

Well that does bring up a very good point, I do need a filter element for the new item. I dont want to use the MF since it is kinda big an made my Wheel well buldge out a bit. I need something a bit less in diameter and narrow.

So then if this costs $70 + $10 = $80...isn't that far less than JWT's POP @ around $125? Am i missing something on the performance aspect of this?

you will need a MAF adapter and some hose and hose clamps to make an intake kit from the Apex'i filter and adapter... www.berktuning.com
