Last nights race results
Couple people met up out at a friends house in the country after mid-night. The road that goes in front of his house is basically a private drive-up/driveway, a very long (about 1/2mile) one wide enough to fit about 4 cars across.
Other cars that were there:
-97 Integra GSR MTX
-98 Integra LS MTX
-95 Maxima GXE ATX
-93 Maxima SE MTX
-90 300zx N/A ATX
-92 300zx N/A MTX
-96 SHO ATX
-93 SHO ATX
-99 Eclipse GSX MTX
-02 Tiburon V6 GT MTX
-93 Legend LS ATX
-98 Saleen ATX
-00 Prelude ATX
We guestimated a 1/4mile distance and marked it with a pole. I think it was more though since I consistantly past the pole at 95mph.
My first race was with the Legend. This guy's engine mods are an intake, a very big and loud muffler. I didn't bump on the gas, I gave it 3/4 throttle, chirped, went full throttle. I pulled all the way through the race and got about 3 car lengths at the end. His excuse was that his car was laging because his engine was hot.
Second race was with the 300zx ATX. This guy has just mufflers. He got the jump and I freaked out and just jumped on the gas. He quickly walked on me during most of 1st gear. I caught up in 2nd gear though and slowly walked past by and got 1 car length at the end.
Third race was with the 96 SHO ATX. We were side-by-side during most of first gear. My revs shot up and I slowly walked. In 2nd gear, no one was gaining and his front end just stayed at my door until I walked on him some more as my revs shot up. 3rd gear he slowly reels me in and we ended up even
I really want to stop racing because even though I enjoy racing, I also know when to quit to save my engine life. BUT, the guy in the 95 GXE ATX wanted to race me.
I did my usual 3/4throttle, chirp, full throttle. He walked on me until 30mph, I reeled him in and slowly , very slowly creeped past in 2nd gear until 70mph. His front end is at my rear fender. Up to about 80mph, I had him but I forgot to put the shifter in "D" and I bounced off my limiter In the end, He was about 1 car length ahead. He asked me what happened because he had a feeling something was wrong, told him. Oh well
I didn't race anymore after that so I just watched the rest of the night.
